This privacy notice for Procolin (“we,” “us,” or “our”) describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share (“process”) your information when you use our services (“Services”), such as when you:
- Download and use our mobile application Guess Duel (formerly What’s My Number?), or any other application of ours that links to this privacy notice
- Engage with us in other related ways, including support or communications
Questions or concerns? Contact us at procolintech@gmail.com. If you do not agree with this notice, please do not use the Services.
Summary of key points
- What we collect: Mostly gameplay data stored on your device (display name, avatar, preferences, vs Computer record, Daily Challenge streak). If you use Play a Friend, short-lived match lobby data is stored in Google Firebase so both players can sync. If ads are turned on, Google AdMob and its partners may collect device/ad identifiers.
- No account required: Guess Duel does not require signing in or creating an account to play.
- Crash reports: In release builds we use Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes. Reports are anonymous (we do not attach a user ID). We do not use Firebase Analytics.
- Ads: The app can show Google AdMob banners and occasional full-screen ads. Ads may be turned off remotely. We do not use App Tracking Transparency / IDFA tracking for advertising personalization inside Guess Duel.
- Sensitive data: We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as health, biometrics for identity, or government IDs).
- Who it is for: Guess Duel is a casual number-guessing game for friends and families. We do not knowingly sell personal information.
- Third parties: Google (Firebase / Cloud Firestore, Crashlytics, AdMob).
- Your choices: You can change your display name and avatar, turn off sounds or notifications, reset vs Computer or friend records, clear saved match codes, reopen ad privacy choices in Settings (when available), clear app data or uninstall to remove local data, or email us.

1. What information do we collect?
A. Information stored on your device (always available)
Guess Duel stores information locally on the device (for example via on-device preferences) so the game can run. This may include:
- Display / profile name and selected avatar (an in-app character ID, not a photo)
- App preferences: language (English, Spanish, French, or Portuguese), sound/music, haptics, meme reactions, and related gameplay toggles
- Notification preference (whether local reminders are on)
- Vs Computer lifetime record (wins, losses, draws, current/best streak)
- Vs Friend lifetime record (wins, losses, draws) when you play friend matches
- Daily Challenge progress (date completed, outcome, current/best daily streak)
- Small operational flags (for example whether first-run onboarding or home tips already ran; local counters used if ads are shown)
- Recently hosted or joined friend match codes stored on device for convenience (so you can reopen a recent lobby)
This on-device data stays on the device unless you clear app storage, uninstall, use an in-app reset where available, or a feature sends limited data to a server as described below.
B. Play a Friend lobbies (Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore)
You do not need an account. When you host or join a friend match with a code, we temporarily store match data in Cloud Firestore so both devices can sync. This may include:
- Match code and match settings (number range, rounds, status)
- Display names and avatar IDs for host and challenger
- Secret numbers and guess/tries progress for that match
- Timestamps and an automatic expiry time for the lobby document
Lobbies are short-lived (typically about seven days) and designed to expire. They are not a permanent account profile.
C. Notifications
We may ask permission to send local reminders (for example Monday and Friday play reminders and an optional evening Daily Challenge nudge). These are scheduled on the device. We do not use Firebase Cloud Messaging for remote push in the current app. You can disable notifications in the app and/or your device settings.
D. Crash and diagnostic data (Firebase Crashlytics)
In release builds, the app uses Firebase Crashlytics to record crashes and some non-fatal errors so we can fix bugs. Typical crash data includes stack traces, device model, OS version, and app version. We do not set a Crashlytics user ID. Crashlytics is off in debug/test builds. We do not use Firebase Analytics.
E. Advertising (Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads)
The app includes Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and may show banner ads and occasional full-screen ads (for example around scoreboards or friend-code screens). We can turn ads off remotely (they may be off while the app is growing). The Mobile Ads SDK is not used for serving unless ads are enabled.
When ads are enabled, Google and its advertising partners may automatically collect information such as:
- Device and advertising identifiers
- IP address and approximate location derived from IP
- Device/app information and ad interaction data
We do not ask you to create an advertising profile inside Guess Duel. We do not use App Tracking Transparency / IDFA tracking. Where required (for example in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) may show a consent or privacy-options flow; you can also reopen ad privacy choices from Settings when the platform requires it. See Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
F. Information you send us directly
If you email us (for example at procolintech@gmail.com), we receive the content of your message and any contact details you include.
G. What we do not collect (in the current app)
- We do not require creating an account, email, or password to play
- We do not use Firebase Authentication or cloud backup sign-in
- We do not use Firebase Analytics or other in-app usage analytics dashboards
- We do not collect payment cards or offer in-app purchases in the current app (it is free to download as offered)
- We do not use the camera or microphone
- We do not collect precise GPS location
- We do not operate school student-information systems
2. How do we process your information?
We process information to:
- Provide and operate Guess Duel (Computer play, Daily Challenge, Play a Friend, scoreboards, preferences)
- Sync short-lived friend match lobbies
- Remember on-device stats and settings
- Schedule local reminders you allow
- Diagnose crashes via Crashlytics
- Show advertising (when enabled) via Google AdMob
- Open links you choose (Privacy Policy, Rate, Share / store pages)
- Respond to support requests
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with law
3. What legal bases do we rely on?
Depending on where you live, we rely on one or more of the following:
- Performance of a contract / providing the Service you request
- Consent (for example notifications permission; certain advertising/consent frameworks where required)
- Legitimate interests (operating, securing, and improving the Service, including crash diagnosis and short-lived multiplayer sync, in a privacy-respectful way)
- Legal obligations
If you are in Canada, we may rely on express or implied consent where applicable, and you may withdraw consent subject to legal limits by contacting us or using in-app/device controls.
4. When and with whom do we share information?
We may share information with:
| Party | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Cloud Firestore (Firebase) | Short-lived Play a Friend match lobbies |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash and error diagnosis (release builds) |
| Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads (and partners) | Advertising when ads are enabled |
| Professional advisors / authorities | If required by law or to protect rights and safety |
| Business transfers | Merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets |
We do not sell your personal information for money. Under some US state laws, “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising may still apply when ads are served by ad partners. Where required, we will honor opt-out requests submitted to procolintech@gmail.com and platform/OS ad controls.
5. Third-party services and links
The app may open third-party links (for example App Store / Google Play rating pages, this privacy policy in a browser) or show third-party ads when ads are enabled. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party sites, ads, or services we do not control.

6. How long do we keep your information?
- On-device data: until you reset relevant in-app data (for example Reset record for vs Computer), clear app storage, or uninstall.
- Friend lobbies: short-lived; documents are set to expire after a limited period (typically about seven days).
- Crash reports: retained by Google Crashlytics according to Google’s retention practices.
- Support emails: as needed to respond and for legitimate business/legal records.
When we no longer need personal information, we delete or anonymize it where reasonably possible (backups may take additional time).
7. How do we keep your information safe?
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to our Service (including relying on Google’s infrastructure for cloud lobby and crash features). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Use the Services in a secure environment.
8. Children’s and family privacy
Guess Duel is a casual game that friends and families may play together.
- A parent/guardian should supervise use on a shared device when kids play.
- Display names are moderated on device for inappropriate words, but players should still avoid sharing personal contact details in names.
- Friend lobbies temporarily store match data (including secret numbers for that match) so the game can work; share codes only with people you trust.
- We do not knowingly condition playing on submitting more personal information than needed to play.
- We do not knowingly sell children’s personal information.
If you believe we have collected personal information from a child in a way that is not appropriate, contact procolintech@gmail.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict certain personal information, and to withdraw consent.
Easiest self-serve options:
- Change your display name / avatar in Settings
- Reset vs Computer or vs Friend records in Settings (where available)
- Clear saved friend match codes in Settings (where available)
- Disable notifications and adjust sounds in Settings / device settings
- Reopen ad privacy choices in Settings when Google’s consent framework requires it
- Clear app data or uninstall to remove remaining local data
- Use device advertising / tracking controls (iOS/Android)
- Avoid sharing friend codes publicly if you do not want others to join a lobby
Or email procolintech@gmail.com.
10. Do-not-track
There is no uniform DNT standard for mobile apps. We do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. Platform privacy controls (for example ad personalization / tracking permissions) are the practical controls for mobile. Guess Duel does not use App Tracking Transparency.
11. United States state privacy rights
If you live in a state with consumer privacy law (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and similar), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of certain data, and opt out of sale/sharing or targeted advertising, subject to legal limits.
